The Perfectionist - Episode II
There was another birthday party invitation today. Anak-anak Kak Leeza. They had the party at home. In the car on the way back from the party yesterday, I already reminded Kakak not to be so takut. And just enjoy the games. So, armed with new semangat, we went to another birthday party today. Got them all prepped up. Adik as usual, enjoying the ride like nobody's business.
We got to Kak Leeza's house a bit early, so not so many people around. Adik, the Cling-on (kinda reminds me of Star Trek), was on my lap. Managed to pried off to get some food for the kids. By this time, Hubby's off outside to have his peaceful meal. Typical.
We had some fried meehoon, keropok, nuggets, fries, chicken, onion rings and some of the famous A&W's float. Today's party maestro was from A&W. After makan, she called all the children to come to the center. At first, Kakak was a bit reluctant to join the troop. But I managed to goad her to join. And so she went.
Round two of the drama begins.
The troop was put in two lines and were ushered outside the house. I guess they need a bigger space for the games session. Plus the huge A&W mascot, Mr Bear, was also there. I signaled at Hubby outside to go to Kakak for support. This time around it was with Adik, leaving me some peaceful minutes to finish my food. So I went to the window to see what was happening. Heard the party maestro asking the children to do some exercise, which was OK to Kakak. She saw me at the window waving and smiling happily doing her jumping jacks. After the exercise session, comes the game explanation.
The kids were supposed to get things asked by Mr Bear. Hubby was just around the troop when the part maestro started asking the children to get the car keys. Fun? NOT AGAIN. After hearing Mr Bear's request, the kids went springing to their dads or moms, looking for car keys. Seeing everybody running for the house, Kakak also went running to the house. Looking at her face when springing for the house made me dropped my unfinished food and went to the door to get her. She was looking for something that she was not sure of. Since everybody ran home, she did too, not really knowing what was happening. When she saw me, then she started to cry. The kids were all running back to Mr Bear, holding car keys. My daughter, crying, went to her Ayah and Adik instead. Then we started questioning her why didn't she just went to Ayah for the keys, and not ran home like everybody else. And she decided to quit the game.
Next games, also no taker.
