Lady's First

Today I witness with my own eyes (and car) how the "lady's first" being used by a Western man, and pretty much meant nothing by the Malaysian man. On my way to pick up Hubby from work, at a U-turn, there was a Volvo S80 also waiting to make the right turn. I looked at the driver, see if he was going to go first, as expected. To my surprise, the Caucasian actually waved his hand to indicate "nevermind, you go first" with a smile on his face. Wow!!! What a pleasant U-turn. Not long after the U-turn, there was another Volvo S80, driven by a Malaysian Chinese man. The car was coming out from the junction, and of course without even a glance, it sped out through in front of me. Hmmm....judging from the car they drive, they should be of well to do people. But with a very significant difference. One is more polite than the other. It's not that I expected to be treated like a couture lady but still a little "lady's first" attitude is very refreshing in...

Hmm...actually got inspired with Aza's updated blog and decided to put up a post. But I don't really have anything to write. Probably I could share our Family Day trip experience at PD. Although it was just for 1 night, PD was actually good. Now we are talking about our next trip to Legend Water Chalets in PD. We had a blast, I mean all of us. The Tiara Beach Resort's children's pool was awesome. Mak bapak pon boleh main the slide. There was this big water slide. All four of us slided down, and really had fun. Don't care lah if I looked silly that time, as long as I get to play the slide. Maklumlaaa...dah lama tak main gelongsor. We did bring all the video cam and digicam but ended up didn't even had a photo taken. So today we just hang out at the children's corner. And I have been introduced to the world of sand paper art. Both kids were having fun too. Now back home, Adik was so cranky, due to lack of sleep. And now sleeping deeply.

The Perfectionist - Conclusion

With these two dramas in my head, I started to formulate some Outward-Bound-School-type of plans for Kakak. She's going to start her primary years soon. I have to think of something to make my girl loosen up a little bit. I don't think we pressure her in any way to win in everything she does. Her perfectionist nature was actually spotted when I bought her some writing books. The book would have dotted lines for the child to follow to write a letter. When she first tried that book, she could not get the lines straight. Normal. I don't think any kid would get perfect lines. She decided to quit, since she could not get the lines straight. At that time, she was almost 4. At first I took it as first-timer experience and disregard it. When she started her kindy at the age of 4, the same thing happen. The first day was OK. The second and next consecutive days until the end of the week, she didn't want to go to school. Risik punya risik, the teacher actually asked the children...

The Perfectionist - Episode II

There was another birthday party invitation today. Anak-anak Kak Leeza. They had the party at home. In the car on the way back from the party yesterday, I already reminded Kakak not to be so takut. And just enjoy the games. So, armed with new semangat, we went to another birthday party today. Got them all prepped up. Adik as usual, enjoying the ride like nobody's business. We got to Kak Leeza's house a bit early, so not so many people around. Adik, the Cling-on (kinda reminds me of Star Trek), was on my lap. Managed to pried off to get some food for the kids. By this time, Hubby's off outside to have his peaceful meal. Typical. We had some fried meehoon, keropok, nuggets, fries, chicken, onion rings and some of the famous A&W's float. Today's party maestro was from A&W. After makan, she called all the children to come to the center. At first, Kakak was a bit reluctant to join the troop. But I managed to goad her to join. And so she went. Round two of the dr...

The Perfectionist - Episode 1

We were invited to a hubby's friend's daughter's birthday party last Saturday. Everyone was excited especially the kids since they were going to have the party at Mc Donald's. After the Zuhur prayers, we prepped the kids with their best party outfits. Both were all ganged up and set to go. Kakak thought the party was going to be at Damansara Damai's Mc D, since that's the only Mc D she knows. So I told her we were driving all the way to Shah Alam section 3 Mc D for the party. When we got there, most of their family members were already there. It was a closed party with family members and close friends. Adik started to get clingy, seeing so many unfamiliar faces around. Hmm...I guess the adults headcounts exceeded the children's. So everyone got a party pack. Kakak was handing over the present to the birthday girl and was ushered to the table where all the children were seated. She was OK, had her food and imported-from-home bottled water. Then the drama begi...

The Louis Vuitton Story

My ex roomie Aza went to Jakarta recently. Asked her to get me LV bags, a document bag and a handbag. She bought me these 2 wonderful LV bags, Indon made mind you. I have been using these bags conveniently since Monday this week. One of my friend even passed a remark, "That bags must have cost you at least RM3000". I just smiled and got away with it. Judging from his taste and background, I believed him. Today I went to the lawyer's office on Jalan TAR. Took the commuter train for my trips today. Got both my LV bags with me. In the train, I saw a Makcik also carrying an LV bag. Hmmm...that got me thinking. Maybe she also got an Indon made LV. Then there is a Chinese lady carrying a Bally handbag. To my observation, she doesn't look like a Bally-type lady. And another guy carrying a Versace. Now, am I also under the league?? It is also possible that I may get the same judgment from the people who saw me carrying 2 LV bags and taking the train. Ha ha ha...
