Langkawi: The Second Trip
We all just came back from the Langwaki Island yesterday. It was Adik's first flight trip, yay!! The day we took off, we missed the flight that we were suppposed to take. How frustrating. the LCC Terminal still needs some brush ups. The flight display information is not reflecting the current flight info. I guess thats why we missed the flight. So anyway, we managed to sqeezed ourselves on the last flight to Langkawi.
By the time we landed, it was almost 6 p.m. We had to take the rental car, it wasn't part of the original plan. But after looking at the resort, we decided that we need a rental car that night for dinner. Adik was down with fever, and there goes our first 2 days in Langkawi.
The resort was OK. Fatin called it "hotel kampung". The Kampung Tok Senik Resort was truly a kampung experience to the detail interior items. You can surely find kampung experience such as bumping into a biawak (forgot the English name) on your way out for breakfast. I think it was also looking for its breakfast. Also we have birds knocking on our windows in the afternoon, luckily the windows was closed or else it will be flying over in our room. Last but not least, the RATS!! Yeah you read right. Unfortunately, our unit was next to the padi field, so the rat's size was gigantic.
One night I was awaken by some rattling noices from under the TV drawer. It sounded like the botol susu rattling. I woke Hubby up. Even he thouht it was the botol susu rattling. I quickly feel my way through the pillows and pulled out Adik's bottle. Hubby was looking for Fatin's bottle. And it wasn't there. So we assumed it has fallen of the bed and that was Fatin's bottle rattling away. The rats were probably nibbling on the puting. Gosh!! In the morning we woke up and tried to locate Fatin's bottle again, but we couldn't find it. Then Hubby found the half-chewed puting under the TV drawer and the bottle behind the TV. Hmm...botol baru tuh. Dah kena sedekah pulak kat those tikus padi. Macam kena bayar ufti pulak.
We managed to visit the Snake Santuary, Kota Mahsuri, Dataran Lang, the Jetty Point and the Kuah town. It wasn't really fruitful, but the kids loved every moment of it. At the Snake Sanctuary, I went down to touch the Albino python. The snake charmer actually offered to wrap the snake over, but I didn't think it was such a wonderful idea. Ewww...I think that should be my first and last experience touching a guarded snake. Even Hubby and Adik touched the King Cobra. Only Fatin didn't, dia takut sikit.
Langkawi, we shall visit you again.
p/s: I went to McD for lunch this afternoon with Fatin. At first, I thought of having take out only but Fatin wanted to go in. So we went inside. I saw our next door neighbor eating with someone. I think she didn't notice me, or didn't want to notice. Lunch rendezvous, eh? Hmmm...
