My Baby's All Grown Up

I haven't been blogging for quite sometime now. Work is quite hectic. Everything demands my time. So what else is new, eh? Also I have started this new hobby. Got so hooked up until my eyes are blue from the intense staring at the computer screen. My hobby is also known as Diner Dash.

We have been thinking of sending Fatin to pre-school next year. More like a play-school. We wanted to go for Malay-medium-not-so-serious-stuffs kindy just to get her mingle around with children her own age. Our objective is to get her to socialize. I am not worry so much about her formal education yet, because she will still have another 2 years before starting her primary school. I went to kindy at the age of 6 and I turned out fine. Just would like her to enjoy her childhood as much as she can.

Fatin has been in kampung for almost a week now. This morning I got a phone call from MIL. She told me that Fatin wanted to get her ears pierced!! Oh no!! I started to feel some gut-wrenching feelings at the bottom of my tummy. Then I spoke to Fatin on the phone. She sounded so adult with her decision to get her ears pierced. Well, actually I never thought she was serious when she told me that she wanted to get her ears pierced before. And today I never thought she really had the guts to go ahead with her decision.

I called hubby to let him know that Fatin wanted to get her ears pierced. I think we both worried that she might not like it afterwards. And around 3, hubby called. He told me that about half an hour after hubby spoke to her, my baby actually called him back and said "Ayah, Atin dah tindik telinga. Tak sakit pon". And she went on and on telling him her whole experience. Wow!! I guess my baby has really grown up now. She's able to decide and aware of the consequences. And she sounded so happy with her decision.

On our end, Syabil is having some ulcers on his throat, 3 actually. And he was moody. I took a day off to take care of him last Tuesday. I think he must have caught the infection from his sister. Last week Fatin had a sore throat. So this week it is his turn. Luckily Fatin is at kampung, so taking care of Syabil is not quite a stir. Just hoping he will be better soon. Pity my baby, can't get enough sleep due to his coughing.

And I lost my sleep too.
