Challenge : Regulate Emotion

I give challenges to my kids to create drive in them to create sense of achievements. Simple kids stuffs like cut your own nails, ride basikal 2 roda, hafal sampai sifir 12. As they grow, the challenge grows too.  This year Fatin will complete her final semester. She's now doing her internship.  As a Pisces, her reactions mostly influenced by emotions. One adulting challenge I threw her is to regulate her emotions. Use the emotions to her advantage. Push her emotions into persistence and conviction to confidently charge her reactions.  If you personally know her, you will know what I mean. The most important thing she said, "Challenge accepted !". May the fourth be with you.😘

If I'm not a MOM

... I would be a DIGITAL NOMAD. My passion for travel, and my readiness to uproot and relocate and my passion for exploring will be likely the valuable attributes for me to be working remotely while enjoying life. Seeing how easy things are connecting borderless-ly, working and living life can be blended into one work life balance approach. With no kids tying me to the ground, I don't really need big house, big cars, big budget. Hence, I would be living places to places for experiences, until I decide to stop.  And my passports will be full of stamps 🤩

Approaching 50

Came across an instagram post and the tag grabbed my attention - #fiftyandfearless Ask any woman, we have always been provoked at how ageing is perceived as a fear of losing one's physical beauty. Hence the beauty products provide wider range for women to fight against ageing. Also as a visual person, I tend to want to like what I see in the mirror or the mirror of life. I want to see a reflection that I like. My current mantra is forty and fabulous. Living up to every bit of this, off late I have started seeing some reflections that I don't think I like. The physicals are starting to change. Then I came across the tag. Kinda lifted up my spirit.  I swear it's gonna be my new mantra.

Revived

Last night, Fatin read my blog. Triggered much, she cried, specially at the posts where her name was mentioned. Inspired me to write today as the first step to a revival episodes.  Reintroducing myself to sharing my thoughts again here, with more insights to life in general, and my own personal journey. Happy to be back, talk soon.

Revisited and Refreshed

When the kids have grown a little older, when work is a passion and I am no longer enslaved, when the dust settled, I am back on this realm. Calming the voices and thoughts in my head. Here is where I share my deepest thoughts, my personal space. I can hear my thoughts so loud, almost screaming. And I don't mind sharing it with you. I am wired for intuitive, trained to be rational. In the learning process, I tune my rational to match my intuition. Gaining knowledge and wisdom along the way too. Here is my space, redefined. Glad to return, really. My BIG WHY

As I am always a mother first, I manage my kids seriously. Though I don't qualify for the kiasu soccer mom award, I always put them first in any equation that need solving. Most mothers can identify with me, having to put family first. But there is always one or two questioning my motives. You see, one of my life goals is to push and support my kids to stand up on their own two feet and explore what life has to offer. The faster the learning, the better. WHY? Because there is never a guarantee that I will wake up tomorrow morning. With that in mind, I will need to prep them with proper training and real life monitored simulations every chance I get. Begin with an end in mind. Also, I will let the kids learn to make their own decision

Facebook - The Story

When was the last time you talk to your best friend over the phone? When was the last time you went out with a friend? Mind you, casually please, not for business. If your cannot even remember the dates, then I guess we belong in the same group, the work-craze-busy-with-life-mommies. Recently I discovered a social networking platform that lets me sits in front of my PC and at the same time get connected with friends, located all around the world, new and old. Welcome to the world of Facebook. Previously, there was MySpace, Friendster, Tagged, and a few more others around but somehow I didn't really hooked up to it. Then came Facebook. I was completely addicted right now, kinda like the way I was addicted to mIRC and IRC long ago. And the funny thing is, most of the people I know have a Facebook account. Voila! Now, everyday when I check my emails, I will definitely go to my Facebook. If not for updating, or approving friends, more for catching up on the news of my friends. You gt u...

Lady's First

Today I witness with my own eyes (and car) how the "lady's first" being used by a Western man, and pretty much meant nothing by the Malaysian man. On my way to pick up Hubby from work, at a U-turn, there was a Volvo S80 also waiting to make the right turn. I looked at the driver, see if he was going to go first, as expected. To my surprise, the Caucasian actually waved his hand to indicate "nevermind, you go first" with a smile on his face. Wow!!! What a pleasant U-turn. Not long after the U-turn, there was another Volvo S80, driven by a Malaysian Chinese man. The car was coming out from the junction, and of course without even a glance, it sped out through in front of me. Hmmm....judging from the car they drive, they should be of well to do people. But with a very significant difference. One is more polite than the other. It's not that I expected to be treated like a couture lady but still a little "lady's first" attitude is very refreshing in...
